Royal Caribbean Group today announced the extension of Global Ship operations with the exception of some Quantum of the Seas Singapore sailings. Ending any potential U.S. sailings for 2020, Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises, and Silversea will cancel all sailings through 2020. Azamara has already cancelled all sailings into Spring 2021.
These cancellations come at little surprise to most and disdain for those booked or holding out hope for a 2020 return to cruising. The Royal Caribbean Group will focus its efforts on getting ships back to sailing in early 2021. With enhanced safety protocols, mask requirements, updated air filtration systems, and social distancing practices.
