It is time for another Cruise Industry update! What has been happening in the world of Cruising during October?

Celebrity Cruises Revolution

Celebrity Revolution: Update of all Celebrity Ships Celebrity Cruises announced a 400 million dollar update to all of its ships to keep up with it's soon to be flagship, Celebrity Edge! With the much-anticipated debut of Celebrity Edge just on the horizon, Celebrity Cruises is already aware that she will be a massive hit in the cruise industry and have decided to invest 400 million dollars into updating all of its ships by 2023! What will these updates entail? For starters an upgrade to almost every cabin in the fleet including the addition of roughly 12,000 cashmere mattress and bedding collection. The "Retreat," being introduced on the Edge, will be added to all celebrity ships for all suite guests to enjoy. Lastly, and ocean view cafe with international influences will be exclusively added to Constellation, Infinity, Millennium and Summit! Virgin Voyages Lays Keel: The newest cruise line is getting closer and closer to hitting the ocean! Virgin America shocked the industry in 2015 with the announcement of the inception of a cruise line. Soon after they made it clear that they are going to be the disruptors of the industry and named Virgin Voyages. Their name speaks to the mission of Virgin and says that their guests will not be passengers on cruise ships taking a cruise but will be sailors taking a voyage of a lifetime! On October 31st Virgin Voyages laid the keel of their first ship, released renderings and announced the first "adults only ship!"

The cruise industry is on the move and going much faster than 20 knots, stay tuned as one of the most anticipated cruise ships of the year debuts and more announcements are made about the future of the industry.
