In response to the restrictions imposed on large cruise ships navigating the iconic Venice Lagoon, a leading cruise line has announced modifications to its itineraries for 2024 and 2025. The adjustments come as a result of challenges faced in delivering a satisfactory guest experience through the use of tender boats for accessing the Port of Venice.
Norwegian Cruise Line has taken proactive steps to address concerns related to the tender operation outside the Venice Lagoon. While the company has strived to maintain the allure of Venice as a port of call, the current operational setup has fallen short of the high standards the cruise line aims to provide for its guests.
To enhance the overall cruise experience, Norwegian Cruise Line has revised the itineraries for Norwegian Pearl and Norwegian Dawn for both 2024 and 2025. In 2024, calls to Venice will be replaced with visits to alternative ports, including Ravenna, Italy; Rijeka and Zadar, Croatia; or Koper, Slovenia, depending on port availability. In 2025, calls to Venice will be substituted with a day at sea.
Modified Sailings: Please Check with your Travel Advisor or NCL
Passengers booked on affected sailings are encouraged to check with the cruise line for detailed information on the modified itineraries and alternative ports of call. Norwegian Cruise Line expresses its commitment to ensuring an exceptional and seamless experience for its guests, acknowledging the importance of adapting to the evolving dynamics of cruise travel in the picturesque city of Venice.
