Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), renowned for its innovative approach to global cruise travel, has announced the debut of its newest ship, Norwegian Luna™, part of the Prima Plus Class. Norwegian Luna, which is now open for sale, will be NCL’s 21st vessel and promises to redefine luxury and adventure at sea. With its inaugural voyage slated for April 2026, this cutting-edge ship will sail roundtrip from Miami to sun-soaked Caribbean destinations.
A Caribbean Dream Journey
Norwegian Luna will offer two exciting Western Caribbean itineraries, including stops at Roatán Island, Honduras; Costa Maya and Cozumel, Mexico; and Harvest Caye, Belize, NCL's exclusive resort-style destination. Starting in April 2026, the ship will also sail seven-day voyages to the Eastern Caribbean, visiting Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic; Tortola in the British Virgin Islands; St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands; and Great Stirrup Cay, NCL’s private island in the Bahamas, which will boast a brand-new pier by 2025.

David J. Herrera, President of Norwegian Cruise Line, shared his excitement about the new ship: "Inspired by the relationship between the moon and ocean tides, Norwegian Luna perfectly complements her sister ship, Norwegian Aqua. We are committed to offering our guests more to see, do, and enjoy on board, enhancing their cruise experience."
A Technological Marvel
Norwegian Luna will be a striking presence on the high seas at 1,056 feet long, 156,300 gross tons, and accommodating approximately 3,550 guests. The ship represents a 10% size increase from its predecessors in the Prima Class, Norwegian Prima®, and Norwegian Viva®. Built by the acclaimed Fincantieri shipyard, the vessel's design collaborates with world-renowned architects, including AD Associates, Piero Lissoni, and Studio Dado, ensuring a modern and luxurious ambiance.
Notable features include the Aqua Slidecoaster, a first-of-its-kind hybrid rollercoaster, and waterslide set to become the longest and fastest slide at sea. Guests will also enjoy "The Drop," a 10-story free-fall slide, and Glow Court, a digital sports complex that transforms into a nightclub.
An Artistic Vision
Norwegian Luna will showcase an artistic masterpiece on its hull by ELLE, a celebrated street artist known for collaborations with global brands like Nike and Ralph Lauren. The "La Luna" design symbolizes the connection between humanity and celestial forces, making the ship a visual representation of adventure and discovery.
A New Standard of Luxury
For those seeking the height of luxury, Norwegian Luna will feature the Haven by Norwegian® premium suites. The all-new Three-Bedroom Duplex Haven Suites, first introduced on Norwegian Aqua, will offer a two-story layout with separate living and dining areas, three bathrooms, and a private balcony. Guests can access a sundeck, infinity pool, and exclusive services such as a 24-hour butler and concierge team.
