Carnival Cruise Line's resumption of operation is well underway, with eight ships sailing revenue voyages under the "Have Fun be Safe" protocols as of September 2, 2021. Carnival Magic, Horizon, Vista, Breeze, Panorama, Miracle, Sunrise, and the newest Carnival Ship Mardi Gras are all successfully sailing!
Resumption of operations is no easy task, from restaffing to ship maintenance. Each ship is under tremendous pressure to restart successfully and bring Carnival guests the cruise experiences they have come to love! With success comes "roadblocks" and "hiccups," as seen throughout restart with 26 crew members and one guest test positive for COVID onboard Carnival Vista, to Carnival Magic's delayed disembarkation of guests at Amber Cove, Dominican Republic due to two COVID positive crew members. Of course, growing pains with Mardi Gras short rolling blackouts onboard during her second revenue cruise are all common issues and have been handled well by Carnival and their employees. Another expected issue is the cancelation of more voyages influenced by many things, but the most important is getting the necessary resources to all Carnival ships. That being said, below you will find the revised Carnival Resumption of Operation schedule.
