January 2021 has begun with a slew of new cancellations for Carnival Corporation's cruise lines.
Carnival Cruise Line announced an extension in all U.S. based departures through March 31, 2020.
Additional:
Carnival Freedom out of Gavelston up to and include April 10, 2021
Carnival Miricle out of San Diego and San Fransico up to and including September 16, 2021
Carnival Liberty from Port Canaveral from September 17- October 18, 2021
Carnival Sunshine from Charleston from October 11- November 13, 2021
REFUND INFORMATION:
All guests impacted by the most recent cancellations are asked to check with their travel agent or keep an eye on their email for further information.
Holland America Line extended its pause in global ship operations. This latest round of cancelations includes all departures through April 30, 2021.
Additionally:
All Alaskan sailings onboard Konigstdam, Nieuw Amsterdam, and Noordam through mid- May 2021.
All Alaskan sailing onboard Eurodam and Oosterdam through the first week of June
All Alaskan sailings onboard Zuiderdam through early June
All Canada/ New England cruises onboard Zaandam through August 2021
All Mediterranean sailings onboard Volendam and Westerdam through early June 2021
REFUND INFORMATION:
"Cruises impacted automatically will be canceled, and no action is needed when opting for the Future Cruise Credit. All guests will receive an FCC per person as follows:
Paid in Full: Those who have paid in full will receive 125% FCC of the base cruise fare paid to Holland America Line.
Not Paid in Full: Those with bookings not paid in full will receive an FCC of double the amount of their deposit. The minimum FCC is $100 and the maximum will be an amount up to the base cruise fare paid.
The FCC is valid for 12 months from the date of issue and may be used to book sailings departing through December 31, 2022. Noncruise fare purchases — such as shore excursions, gifts, dining and spa — will not be transferred to a new booking and will be refunded to the original form of payment. Other funds such as air fares paid to Holland America Line may be transferred to a new booking or will automatically be refunded via the method of payment used to purchase the services."
Princess Cruises has cancelled all sailings through May 14, 2021.
REFUND INFORMATION:
"Guests currently booked on these cancelled voyages will have the option to receive a refundable Future Cruise Credit (FCC) equivalent to 100% of the cruise fare paid plus an additional non-refundable bonus FCC equal to 25% of the cruise fare paid.
To receive the above FCCs, no action is required by the guest or their travel advisor. The FCCs can be used on any cruises booked by May 1, 2022 and sailing by December 31, 2022. Alternatively, guests can request a full refund for all monies paid on their booking through an online form. Requests must be received by February 15, 2021 or guests will be registered for the Future Cruise Credit option."
P&O Cruises extends its pause in operation for all Australia/ New Zealand sailings through April 25, 2021. Impacted sailings include Pacific Explorer.
REFUND INFORMATION:
"P&O will make contact with guests whose cruises have been affected, either directly or via their appointed travel agent, to let them know of this development and the options available to them.
Guests who have not yet received an offer in response to a cruise that was cancelled during P&O’s pause in operations are entitled to a full refund or bonus onboard credit if they choose a future cruise credit.
P&O will pay refunds back to travel agents for guests who booked through that channel. The cruise line will also protect travel agent commissions on all bookings for cancelled cruises that were paid in full as at January 5, 2021.
Guests with bookings affected by the pause in operations, can track the progress of their future cruise credit or refund request via a new tracking tool found on P&O’s website."
