As many know, COVID-19 is here to stay, and variants continue to appear. I am not here to tell you about the variants, etc., because I am not a doctor, and after nearly two years of reporting cancelations, I vowed Cruise Ship Crayz would no longer report on COVID-19. I promised to only report on COVID if it was immediately necessary for our readers to know of this news, I consider cruise cancelations necessary. Over the past few days, cruise lines have made public the cancelations or further suspension of guest operation for some ships.
Royal Caribbean International:
Suspension Extention:

Norwegian Cruise Lines Refund Information:
If you have an active reservation on one of the affected cruises above, you will automatically receive a refund of your cruise fare in the original form of payment for the amount paid. Additionally, a 10% off Future Cruise Credit will be automatically added to the guest's account as of January 7, 2022. This discount can be used to make a booking from January 7, 2022, through January 7, 2023, and can be applied towards any sailings through May 31, 2023.
These cancelations come as staffing shortages spread across the industry due to quarantine requirements and travel restrictions. Of course, the continued COVID-19 pandemic is impacting the ability of passengers to visit different ports of call. All cruise lines are committed to the health and safety of all guests, crew, and employees. This commitment has led to the difficult decision of these further cancelations.
Rest assured, the cruise industry is sailing through these rough waters. We will continue to monitor the situation here at Cruise Ship Crayz and keep you informed as more information is available.
