Carnival Cruises announced today that they will be debuting the first Roller Coaster at Sea onboard the Carnival Mardi Gras in 2020. As some of you might remember Dream cruises announced that a roller coaster will be coming to their future ship, but Carnival will beat them by one year! In 2020 Carnival Mardi Gras will debut at 180,000+ GRT being the cruise lines largest and most innovative ship to date. Bolt, the first Roller Coaster at sea will propel Carnival into the future of innovation onboard cruise ships! Bolt will reach up to 40 MPH along a track 187 feet above sea level, this one of a kind experience will take riders around Carnival's iconic whale tail funnel and around the back of the ship.
Carnival Mardi Gras will debut in 2020 and sail from a brand new state of the art terminal from Port Canaveral in Cape Canaveral, Florida. (roughly 60 miles east of Orlando International Airport)
