The cruise line taking the industry by storm, MSC Cruises, has just floated out their largest and most innovative ship ever the MSC Meraviglia. The first in her class the Meraviglia is roughly 167,000 GRT, 1,033 feet and hold 4,500 guests. So with such an amazing new mega ship on the horizon what do you need to know about this new beauty?
1) Her Staterooms:
Home to some of the largest staterooms in the MSC fleet, the Meraviglia will join the ranks of cruise ships with multistory cabins by offering a "Duplex Suite." The duplex suite will offer a dining room and living room on the main level and a master bedroom/ bathroom on the second level. It is time to start living the high life with MSC Cruises.
2) The Promenade:
MSC Meraviglia will feature a 315 ft Promenade. This Promenade will be lined with shops, restaurants, and bars. In addition to being the hub of the ship the entire ceiling of the promenade will be lined with a 5,000 square foot LCD screen which will "transmit visual magic around the clock." MSC will be the first cruise line since Royal Caribbean to feature a large horizontal public area for cruise guests.
3) Horizon Pool:
Meraviglia will boast even more open deck space than previous ships with the addition of the "Horizon Pool" at the aft of the ship. This transformative venue will be the best spot for a swim and some sun in the day and for some dancing and entertainment at night.
4) Aqua Park:
For kids of all ages, the Aqua Park on Meraviglia will feature a Himalayan bridge, multiple pools, waterslides and much more. I think we will find more adults here than kids.
5) Amusement Park and Sports Center:
Living up to its tagline "A Ship for All Seasons" the Meraviglia will feature an indoor Sports Center and Amusement Park. This transformative venue will allow guests to partake in a large variety of sporting activities during the day and at night enjoy dancing and social events.
This is just a few of the amazing amenities that the MSC Meraviglia will feature. To learn more or to book a cruise on the Meraviglia click here.
